About the RHn System

The RHn delivery system is formulated for the effective delivery of Vitamin D.

The skin is made up of two major layers, the inner dermis and the outer epidermis. Vitamin D is normally synthesized in the lower two layers of the epidermis, the stratum basale and stratum spinosum. It is here, that under normal exposure to sunlight, Vitamin D is converted from the pre-Vitamin D3 (7-dehydrocholesterol) form to the active Vitamin D3 form. Once converted by Ultra Violet light the body then carries the active Vitamin D3 to the rest of the body where it is further modified and delivered to the target tissues.

The RHn delivery system was developed to closely mimics the body’s own production of Vitamin D3, specifically supply active Vitamin D to the lower layers of the epidermis. The outer-most layer of the skin is protected with keratin, which serves to strengthen and waterproof the skin. The RHn liposomal system insures that the Vitamin D3 penetrates this layer and arrives at the lower levels of the epidermis where it is naturally found. Once there the biologically active Vitamin D3 supplied by Topical Sun enters the body’s natural channels as if it had been synthesized by endogenous means.
